I actually attempted precisely what you suggest, but since the last time I used Calibre I've forgotten how it works and I wasn't able to find the folder with the toc.cnx file. I put off until later this evening searching for it more thoroughly. I couldn't find it in My Docs>eBooks, etc. or Documents and Settings>Administrator.
