I just thought of one more advantage of the Kindle (and Nook if you were so inclined) - if you have an iPhone or a Touch, you can get the apps for reading your Amazon or B&N content on your phone. I much prefer reading on my Kindle, but in a pinch I can read on my iPhone with my Kindle app. I have the B&N reader app as well, but it seems to have issues most of the time. No such app with the Sony - again, if it were something that would interest you (or anyone else trying to decide).
