Welcome to Mobileread Deadcptflint. As you may have guessed from reading some of the posts, we all love our ebook readers whichever brand they might be.

An important consideration for choosing the perfect solution for you is "where will you be getting your ebooks" as ebook prices and availability may definitely influence your choice. Since you are in the U.S., check out your local public library. (if you're in Washington state, several libraries have good ebook selections) If you want to read ebooks from the library with the least fuss, then you will need to choose an ebook reader that is compatible with drm'd epub and pdf format ebooks. (unless you want to do some manipulation on the book to remove the drm)

If you will purchase most of your ebooks, then Amazon currently has the largest selection and cheaper prices.

If you have any specific questions, just ask. This is a great forum.

cheers
