Hopefully this isn't making things too obvious, but...

(Colored for those who don't want hints)
Everyone knows you don't actually *have* to read the threads to find the letter, right? Once you've picked the forum you think the letter is in, you can click on the attachment icon on threads which shows that those threads have attachments. A window pops up and you can open each of the attachments in that thread.

I can see how someone who didn't notice that may find this contest discouraging.
