I think that issues with synchronisation between the LCD and e-Ink screens are going to be inevitable. The simple fact being that the LCD refresh rate is negligable, while e-Ink is, well, e-Ink.
If I choose something on the LCD screen which requires a refresh on the main screen will obviously happen on different timescales alltogether. I would be interested to see whether they implement some sort of artifical delay in the LCD screen feedback to bring it "down to speed" with the business part of the device.
