I compared a Sony 300 at the store tonight, the Sony has blacker text. :(

This is frustrating.. I brought my PP with me to compare under the same lighting and the Sony 300 had blacker text.. not a lot blacker, just a touch blacker.. but it was enough that it was "nice" versus "almost dark enough" on the PP.

Incidentally, the Sony uses a better looking more robust Times font. Compare the "e" as an example.

Anyone else ever compare screens?

Robertb, is this fixable? Can you find out if the device is not using the 8th and darkest level for text? I feel it should be capable because I see here and there areas that are actually black.. like the update progress bar, the "about" screen, etc. I would really like it if the device was at least as black as a Sony 300 for text! I like the device, but as long as the Sony has a blacker blacks.. is this a controller thing? The 300 uses Metronome while the Jinke uses Epson Broadsheet..
