I'd expect the same to be true for people reading a magazine digitally would think the same, they'd want their reading experience to at least match what they got when reading the paper version of the mag and additions like the flipping mode help to make that happen in the demo of this device. While there are other multimedia bells and whistles that may not appeal to everyone, those do seem to be included in addition to a decent understanding of how people would want to read a digital version of their magazine.
