Sry to bump an old thread...

I bought a 5in1 HS Universal AC power adapter (charges: PSP, DSi, DS lite, ...) from Walmart. +5V 1A.

I plugged into my PRS and it started charging for a minute, but then the adapter stopped working completely (burnt). The PRS is fine.

Question. Why did it burn out?

I have 2 other USB chargers, 5V 1000mA (charges ipod touch), and another 5V DC300mA+/-50mA (ipod won't charge).
Both of these seem to light up the PRS charging LED. Which one would be safer/better and not burn neither the PRS nor itself?
