To me the issue is not the limited supply, but the fact that there doesn't seem to be evidence they really exist at all. My guess is that either the lawsuit, other pending legal action, or a major problem in production models is delaying shipment again. Perhaps B&N has found a major issue in Android or on the readers itself in testing the production models and doesn't want to put thousands of bricks out there, so it is figuring out a software patch.

But with each passing day as we approach Christmas, my decision is leaning toward SONY or Amazon. I realize that even if it was out today, there could still be issues with the nook, but I don't want to ask for B&N giftcards or money toward it and then be stuck with a $260 paperweight.
