SONY's problem from a business standpoint is that they tend to make high quality products with a premium price and they don't really understand how to exploit the online software market (which would include the ebook market). The PS3 was certainly the superior console in terms of quality, and probably hardware, but floundered because of its high entry cost, lack of available software, and a less than engaging online presence. These same issues are making me think strongly about the nook or Kindle instead of the SONY Readers.
Frankly, of all the e-readers I've seen, I like the look and build of the SONY the best. But I also love the features of the Kindle and the ones that are proposed for the nook (assuming one ever sees the light of day.)
