I have been invited to a winter ball in Germany. "Cool idea" i thought when i got the invite. Ha, should have switched the brain on first. The trouble involved , the pain.
First I had to get a ballgown - don't have any here in Oz, OH can't dance and anyway we don't do formal here (No one can do formal as good as the Germans, and maybe the Austrians).
DO you realise how difficult it is to get a ballgown!!!! OMG. But that's taken care of. Will be waiting for me when i get to Germany. Hope it fits or I'm in trouble.
Next was to get a dance partner (my sister invited me but forgot to organise me a dance partner - silly sis). Well now, there are actually websites where you can register to find a dance partner. I did that. I even asked some guys - and now I know why I didn't marry a German man - they are RUDE. Ok, apology to the exceptions. But hey, at least a 'no thanks you are too ugly for me' would be a better reply email than just delete the I send or ignoring it altogether.
Never mind, I will enjoy myself at the ball. Come hell and high water, I will have a good time.
