I agree, I don't see anything unusual with this. They're bragging about how their product is great and sales are good. This is what a press release is for. This one is aimed at investors (to reassure them that Amazon is making profit on this), Kindle owners (to reassure them that they bought a great product) and potential buyers (to nudge them in the right direction before Christmas).
