NO! It is a series of tools and utilities that give power users additional control and options. Like, most physical power tools, they can be deadly (to your data) if used incorrectly.

This one, is a safer one that only asks questions of Calibre and make NO changes.

They are all run from a "Command Prompt" in a Terminal Window of your Operating system.(Windows, Linux....)

First of all, Read the Description of each command in the Command Prompt section near the end in the Calibre manual to decide if you might find that one useful, and for further reading.

I will toss out the standard computer admin warning here:
Make a back-up of you Library folder: BEFORE you attempt any command that makes any changes to the data.
Better yet, Practice on a second (AKA test system) if one is available.
