To everyone else: If you enjoy John Irving, I think you may be in for a surprise. Irving loves his characters and it shows in his writing. There's a tenderness in his writing. Highly recommended.

Well, I've pretty much been a serial reader up until recently but I've been trading back and forth between a few fiction and non.
