I haven't read enough romance to laugh out loud at it, but it was very entertaining nonetheless. I read a little gay romance, and some fanfiction, especially 'slash', which I would consider a close cousin of romance, and I have been wondering about what is it about this genre that makes people 'tick' - Just as I wonder about genres such as cheap spy-thrillers, trashy westerns and lurid sci-fi
I liked the 'Outlander' series, which I would consider 'romance'. It's great fun, and Gabaldon is an entertaining story-teller.
