I agree. They should have a warning on the label "Caution may explode!". You start with that silver tab, and slowly reveal the brown paper, then thinking you may have a dud it always explodes (pops) when you least expect it.

BTW. I used them just last night. Country fresh biscuits cut into 4's make the best dumplings for Chicken Fricot, an Acadian recipe for chick'n 'n dumplin's.

PS: We just received our yearly stash of summer savory. A spice that we cannot find on the west coast of Canada and have to have it shipped in from the east coast. My mother-in-law was very upset that she could not find the local New Brunswick summer savory and and to settle for a a brand from neighbouring Nova Scotia.
