I thought so too! I know I saw Benny Hillʻs "little friend" at least once during the Benny Hill show (which we got late at night on some UHF channel), along with a zillion boobie shots. I remember one where he is chasing naked ladies through a park, and they are giggling and he has that icky look on his face, and they are acting like this is the most fun thing theyʻve ever done in their lives (and wearing bonnets, for some reason??). That was my first impression of England. Iʻm afraid that impression still stands. I havenʻt been to England, but I donʻt plan on wearing a bonnet to any parks there, should I ever be privileged enough to visit.
