argh argh argh!!! I am on another forum, and lately (fantastically!) the question of ereaders has been coming up a lot. People want to know whether to get an ereader. of course I answer every single post and extoll the amazing wonders that is ereaderness. I also often give a link to the extremely helpful MR site (perhaps some of the new 50,000 have learned about it from my postings?? If so, give a shout out to me!! And perhaps some karma for giving you access to pleasure greater than anything you have ever known! But I digress...)
So, anyway, where was I? Oh yes, so they have all heard of Kindle, itʻs all they want. I mention on one post that Kindle has done a fabulous job with advertising and there *are* other readers out there that might also be of interest (like my beloved Sony), and to do a little research to see what reader might best fit your needs, etc. And I get a response that was basically like "hey, stupid, you think she never did research? of course she did!" how do you know?? Ok, digressing again.
Anyway, now they have all heard of nook too and all they talk about is kindle, nook, kindle, nook and it drives me nuts, because no one has heard of sony and they donʻt want to hear anything about sony, they just think Iʻm raining on their parade when all Iʻm trying to do is give their parade a different perspective and....
So lately, I just tell them about things that have nothing to do with types, and still direct them here. Really, I donʻt care what they buy, and Iʻm glad they want to buy, but I just get tired of feeling like the ugly stepsister who has the sony!
Huh, guess I need pshrynk. Pro bono please. Iʻm a furloughed educator!
