how odd! I woke up from a dream that was out of my child hood... a wnderful snow storm shutting down all but essential services. everyone at home, soup simmering on the stove, crackling fire keeping the house warm. sledding and skiing! it was wonderful!

there was a "twilight zone" episode I very vaguely remember... a young woman was asleep and dreaming that the earth had gone out of its orbit and was heading for the sun and warming up. she woke up to find that the earth had gone out of its orbit, was cooling down and heading away from the sun.

or vice versa. either way, it was headed for a horrid conclusion.
