I love that novel, "Snow Falling on Cedars" and also a lot of David Guterson's other work. Great, if a little densely written.
I've just looked up Smilla's Sense of Snow and it's nothing like my dream.
In my dream a young girl imagines the snow she's never experienced and wakes up to find her town snowbound and empty...except for some very strange characters.
