Sorry to hear about the flooding in your area. Our own house was flooded several years ago and even though we didn't lose much apart from carpets and some floor-standing furniture which was ruined, it was the months and months after of getting the house dry which was the real biggie. I can remember my wedding day where we still (6 months later) had bare concrete floors and plaster ripped from the walls. So I can sympathize entirely with that.

I love paper books but the reality is we live in a 2 bed house and we've simply run out of room to sensibly store any more. So I have taken to using the library much more as well as buying an ereader to satisfy my reading needs.

I agree that the content of books is more important than what format they're in. Although I have some friends who would argue to the death I'm sure that paper books are far superior.
