The EZ Reader Basic may be the cheapest 6" EInk device, it is $239 with similar software to the Pocket Pro (but it is an older design, with a bit less capable hardware, e.g. USB 1.1 vs 2.0 and SD vs SDHC cards).
Maybe, but it has the best software (openinkpot), and how much usb bandwidth do you need with an e-ink reader? How much space on SD cards?
Personally i would never buy a sony, the company really sucks. I would recommend a hanlin clone to go with openinkpot, clearly the best firmware there is on the market. I can't stress in enough how important the firmware is for a good reading experience. In my opinion a touchscreen is fancy nonsense for a reader, i prefer a clear unsmeared display. good luck, cheers
