ADE works perfectly well in Snow Leopard and can authorise both the Mac itself and your connected reader. The trick is to connect the Opus to the Mac before launching ADE - it will then detect the Opus and let you view the contents as well as move items to and fro.

The ePub files will be stored in your Documents/Digital Editions folder and can be dragged into the mounted Opus on your desktop.
