Thanks guys for your suggestions. I'm in Australia and had been looking at some sites and found that there were restrictions on who could download some books.
Can't wait for my Cool-er to arrive - I've been waiting since about August. They were out of stock and expecting some more in September so I did a pre-order (and received an email confirmation), but somehow this was lost. It might have something to do with the pre-order simply asking for my contact details without asking anything for payment. I didn't think anything about it at the time as I thought they would ask for payment once stock came in.
I chased it up in the middle of September and was told the shipment was due in around the 21st September. I was told on 1st October that a shipment had arrived and that pre-orders were done in the order they arrived. That's fair. The next shipment was due in 2-3 weeks..
I checked again late October and was asked to do another pre-order only this time it will ask for payment, which it did. The support lady asked me to email her the pre-order number which I did and she said she would look into it.
I chased it up again on the 16th November after giving it a few weeks for it to arrive (as I assumed it would have been shipped out) and I've been told that another shipment is due the following week (hopefully around now).
So I'll hopefully receive an email soon saying they are shipping it as they said that they will ship soon.
I can say that the support staff have always responded to my emails politely and quickly - I usually have a response the next day which isn't too bad considering the time differences.
As for Cool-er Books website, hopefully they'll fix their search problem soon. I mentioned it to them back in August when I was researching the reader and their bookstore and they told me they were updating their databases, or doing some maintenance work, or whatever which is why my searches were unsuccessful. But that was back in August. I've also heard that their bookstore is expensive - found this on some YouTube video reviews of the reader. That, plus the fact that other e-book stores I looked at had region-restricted downloads which meant I can't purchase from them, was the reason I asked about where you guys buy your books from.
I'm hoping I'll have the reader in time to download and install some novels before heading off on a business trip on the 7th December. Fingers crossed.
