If the font is embedded in the PDF, then this should work ok. One way to test this would be to try
Sony eBook Library under Windows or on a Mac. At one time this was an exact emulation of the PRS-700, and it should still be very close for PDFs to the PRS-600.
I don't know if there is a way to add fonts to the PRS-600 device itself for PDFs. The threads I have seen on this apply to LRF fonts and (separately) to ePub fonts.
