I can confirm that using the x86 versions work in 7 x64 when the x64 version of pycrypto doesn't. It worked on the RC of Win 7 x64 but not on RTM. But the x86 versions work fine. It's definitely something is not compatible with the pycrypto module because I'd been using Python 2.64 x64 with no problems.
