there is an add for dog insurance ? I think, maybe.... anyway it goes along the lines of; "I drink out of toilet bowls and do not make good dietary decisions, that is why I count on you..." dogs a little bit closer to their wild cousins had/have that ability, but your little furkids are about as domesticated as a dog can get. who knows the amount of dogs that die or end up in the animal emergency room every year due to accidental poisoning. hence the warnings regarding seasonal items such as poinsettias and so on. you need to keep the kids away from the mushrooms. pick the mushrooms, and destroy them. then give the stumps a scrub with some bleach and contact your local extension agency for further advice
