The other I liked was the Tuff-Luv, it look nice and expensive ,(actually it is more expensive, and I would have to shell some of my money to buy it), I was just worried because is not closed (at least the corners are open, from what I can see from the pictures) and it looks heavy – could someone said if the reader fells bulky and heavy on it (I use to hold the palm with one hand, and I hope to be able to do the same with the new reader).

I carry my Sonys in Tuff-Luvs in my briefcase front pocket, along with keys, clips, pens & all sorts of things, and have never had a problem with anything working its way under the cover.
But given how careful you are, I suggest you take a look at the BookArmour zipped case:

This case has a handle, illustrated in one of the pictures, that you can slip your hand through and hold the case in a reading position. It is not, in my view, as nice as the T-L, but it will definitely give you maximum protection in your purse.
