Hi everybody,
I'm new here so I thought I showed my face here. Not sure how active I will be on the forum, depends on whether I will finally buy an e-reader

I'm a student and I already have a large amount of .pdf's but I notice that reading it from my laptop is just not the same as from actual paper. I intend to use my future e-reader in particular to read secondary literature that is not directly related to my own research, i.e., I want to catch up on a large amount of literature as a background knowledge, without the need of proper references (printed editions, page numbers) and without the need of full 'hardcore' note taking. The PRS-600 seems particularly interesting for me as it does allow me to take a minimum amount of notes, plus the option to export them. I've been looking for one for quite a time and I'm always not entirely sure whether I should wait or not for the 'next generation'.
On the other hand, right now the next generation seems only to be focusing on wireless support which is not the direction I was hoping for. I really hope to see some improvement on the technology itself first (i.e. readability, response time, screen size) but that seems not to be the way most manufacturers are going.
Anyway, if you know anything about font support, please let me know in
this thread (also if you have any comments on the price of the PRS 600). This is the one question which keeps me from purchasing one so if you could help me on this that would be great.
Cheers,

(<- just wanted to use that emoticon
