After listening to a diatribe by a coworker regarding working Thanksgiving and missing out on all the wonderful food with her family celebration, I rearranged my Thanksgiving cooking plans to include a much larger turkey, so that I could take food up to the store for those who were going to miss their family meals. Yesterday morning I did "speed shopping" for the meal, including a 21 lb. bird. When I got to work last night, I was greeted by a large sign on the time clock, "All employees that are working Thanksgiving will be treated to a holiday meal with all the trimmings courtesy of the deli and the store director." While this is great...what am I now supposed to do with that much turkey for two people??????
