I've tried updating for 4 releases now, hoping it was just a small problem that would be corrected. but I cannot put anything onto my Sony PRS-500 for some time now. I keep getting this error
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

My SD card is FAT 32 formated and has 235 books on it. There are no books on the internal memory since I reset the device thinking perhaps it was an error with my reader.
Any suggestions?

Currently installed 0.6.24 on Win XP SP3
thought the whole thing may be a moot point soon since my PRS-500's battery life is now measured in hours instead of days.
