I blew out my knee three years ago skiing. I completely severed the MCL and ACL. the surgeon I went to only fixed the MCL, and didn't do a very good job at that. I am now bone on bone and need to have a knee replacement. they normally don't do them for people "my age" but quality of life issues are such that they will. it's a little scary!
