I think it's the light. Because I just bought one and the gooseneck part is the weakest link to the design. You position it where you want it and it wobbles out of position. I've kind of adjusted to the fact that it just won't stay where you put it. But if it's significant problem, then I would see if Sony would sent you a replacement.
