Otherwise, it would suck me in and I couldn't look away, just like road kill on the highway. You know you don't want to look, but you can't help yourself. I'm pretty sure this condition is called "The Wiggles Syndrome". I know the same thing happened with my two older kids, only it was "The Barney Show" and involved a BIG purple dinosaur.
Uh, is it wrong that I had a tiny crush on one of the wiggles (Iʻm not saying which one) for a brief, half-hour period when my children were young and I felt a little trapped. Something about watching the wiggles day in day out for a few months, sleep deprivation (Iʻm sure I was nursing one or the other kid), and, well, I guess I just went crazy!

Luckily, we were never into the big purple dinosaur, and our brief teletubby obsession was quickly extinguished (whoops, kids, we donʻt seem to get that channel anymore!). (but teletubbies, talk about a train wreck you canʻt turn away from! when they go all spacey and their bellies start showing a tv show, itʻs like you go into a trance...I could see the teletubby show being used to impart subliminal messages)
