I never disagreed with your statement about lenders being reluctant to lend. This is one of those unintended consequences of the TARP that is absolutely abhorrent. On this fact we are totally in agreement. However, your original post would lead someone to believe that the ONLY intent of TARP was to stimulate the economy and that is simply not true. The Feb 09 Stimulus package was passed SOLELY to stimulate the economy. I stand by my original response.
