It is possible to change the font, but only by explicitly modifying each ePub. See Fonts and Epub - What works on Sony, Works for Pocket Pro too!

Mobile Adobe Digital Editions also has an option for user-provided extra CSS, which would allow changing the font in many cases without modifying the ebook. However, no EInk Reader vendor has turned on this option. This would be a good thing for Jinke to do. All that is required is to change the location of userStyle.css to a user-accessible folder on the SD card, see User Stylesheet for Adobe Digital Editions. This would make the EZ Reader's ePub support significantly better than its competitors.
