Hi Chaliced. I wonder if the military has any kind of deal that would mean you're not forced to pay the various Kindle loadings. As far as I can see, if your device is registered in the US, you'd have to pay a couple of bucks extra for downloading when you're on a foreign posting. If you register the machine outside the US, titles cost an extra two dollars each. But Kindle ain't the only game in town. Good to have your company.
