The screen is much smaller than you expect before seeing one for the first time, and a 5" screen is significantly smaller than a 6" screen. To get an idea of what they look like, print the 600x800 bitmap screenshots to paper at 200 dpi (76 × 102mm) for a 5" screen or 167 dpi (90 × 120mm) for a 6" screen. The actual screen will look very similar, except that the background will be grey rather than white.
