Does anybody's firmware update email show this?

I registered the firmware update, and they sent me an email with this in it:

"Warranty Status: Out of Warranty

Note: Your model is part of a Sony exchange program. However, the direct
replacement is not currently available. You can send your
unit in and you will be contacted for more information and alternative
models available."

Now, the first email they sent me said I'd get it back in 14 days, but this email seems to be saying it'll take longer, anybody know which is wrong?


Second, how are we suppose to ship it? With or without the cover? Electrostatic bag required or not? Any other shipping tips?
