Finnegan's Wake is currently ranked #23,087, so now it legitimately belongs on the list. I'll be honest, I can't stand reading James Joyce. I'd rather read the dictionary than Joyce. And, I'm of Irish decent. Yet arguing that
Finnegan's Wake doesn't belong on a list of classics is really kind of silly.
