C code for Buttons?

I once asked about making a TOC, but have come to realize what I want to do is create buttons. A button for each chapter, and when you click it, it takes you to the specified chapter.

Are there C code examples for this? Or are there example byte sequences for creating a button? And what do you link the button TO? Is it a byte offset for, say, the first letter in the word "Chapter 3"?

Thanks.
