I"ve been told (perhaps innaccurately?) that if you convert a PDF file through Calibre or some such, that you can annotate on it. Which is a PITA, but doable if the large format and price point are acceptable. Particularly since it seems like to really optimize PDF's for most devices, you have to do something with them, anyway. Of course, annotations with the DX keyboard are supposed to be a PITA, regardless.

My personal strategy is to wait until the Que comes out, the iRex 800 has annotation, and see how those stack up and are priced. If they don't seem to be all that and a pack of peanuts, I'll get a refurb DX and see if it meets my needs within 30 days. If not, ship it back and get a Sony 600. At least that's my strategy this week, I've been known to change my mind!
