I have approximately 560 books on my 300 right now, and just hit the 2/3 full on the internal memory. While most of the books are average-sized (approx 200 paperback pages), there are also a lot of much longer books, like a full Bible, all the Outlander novels (approx 900-1000 paperback pages each) and a bunch of quite long public domain classics.

So, I don't feel any lack of memory due to not having an expansion slot.

oh, not sure if it makes any difference as far as how much space the books take, but they've almost all been converted to lrf format before being put on my reader.
