Well it crashed again. Right after I updated Snow Leopard to 10.6.2. I had to reinstall the whole thing (uninstall first, reboot, install, reboot). I chatted again with Sony tech support. They were worthless. I summed it up for them: If the eBook Library Software is dysfunctional in OSX, it's either because 1. you have it blocked behind a firewall or 2. you updated your OSX installation.

Could anyone confirm this? Or deny it?

NOTE: the page is out of date; since Leopard, I think, you can't go to International in the System Preferences, because it doesn't exist there anymore. I noted this to the technician.
