Yes. The USB mains cube and cable will allow you to charge your Reader, but
only if you use the DC plug on the multiend cable. You cannot charge from the mini USB on the multiend cable. Nor can you charge the Reader with any other USB mains adapter with only a USB connector.
If you don't like the multiend cable, any other USB Male to EIAJ-02 DC plug adapter cable will work.
