Thanks, after just 12 hours, I managed to get books from iPod Touch Kindle application to html/etc.
Forgive the off-topic, I wanted to post a brief review of information that I was useful or not useful; note that today is Nov 12 2009.
1) Get your iPhone or iTouch or iPod's UDID; how to do this via iTunes:
http://www.tuaw.com/2008/08/08/iphon...-single-click/
2) Get iPhone Backup Extractor from
http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/free-download/ (Win, Mac, Linux)
3) iTunes probably performed a backup of your iPhone/iTouch, which seems to be what #2 uses, so just start the Backup Extractor and get the PRC files in application/com.amazon.lassen/documents/ebooks
4) I had to use Igor's kindlepid.py version 0.2 from
http://igorsk.blogspot.com/2007/12/m...on-kindle.html and
input the UDID entirely in lowercase. The PID from the uppercase UDID
didn't work.
5) Used mobidedrm0.5.py to decrypt the PRC file, e.g., from
http://nyquil.org/archives/1128-Conv...-a-Kindle.html
Now to buy Topaz books and return them in 7 days. They are so slow on the iPod Kindle app anyway.
