Brick is a rather loose term. 2 Files to watch out for are /mnt/settings/er_registry.txt and /home/root/start.sh. er_registry controls the contentlister. and start.sh has some startup actions in there. Both if incorrectly formatted or removed, could render your iLiad useless. However, if you install the "unbrickable iLiad" script, you shouldn't have to worry to much about it.
