The Callahan Chronicals (sort of a collection of all his Callahan short stories most all very funny and fun) by Spider Robinson also sort of reminds me of the weird stuff I read in that Lounge...note I said I READ it, posting requires too much attention to keep up.

Thanks for the tip on the Prachett book. I do recall seeing the title in looking for books on day. siiiigh...yet another book on my list I will need another 85yrs to finish reading.
