It's possible for the battery circuitry to get confused. On my Zodiac, there's a special form of soft reset to force recalibration, but I'm not sure if that exists for the M130.

One option is to let the battery totally discharge, then recharge it. This can sometimes help the issues of batteries not consistently keeping a charge.

I have Palm OS v4.1 and MobiPocket Reader v5.3.
Palm OS 4+ was the first version that could use expansion cards via the VFS extensions. Mobipocket 5.3 is the most recent version available for Palm OS devices. (I do not expect to see further upgrades, but what's there works. The main limitations I'm aware of are a miximum of 32 reading lists, and no way to specify the order in which reading lists appear. It's strictly "as created".)

I was considering doing a delete of the program apps I don't plan on using (addresses, notepad, graffiti, to do list, date book, and memo) so I could free up more space, since I would only play with the Palm for reading.
You can't delete them. The standard Personal Information Manager apps, like Address Book, Datebook, and Calculator are in ROM, along with Palm OS itself. But they aren't part of the 8MB of RAM. That's reserved for user installed programs and data.

The CPU used in earlier Palm devices like the M130 is the Motorola "Dragonball". It can "see" up to 16MB of RAM and 22MB of ROM.

I did see something that said "Math Lib" 50K and wondered what it was. There is a calculator on the Palm so maybe it is the program to run it. Anyway, it is charging now so can't play with it. I still need to reset it all up on one of the laptops as the old PC died.
Mathlib is a floating point library used by the calculator. Like the calculator itself, I believe it is in ROM and not removable.
