Some publishers set a limit. Often it's a maximum of 4 units.
I already had iPhone an iPod touch plus Kindle 2 and Kindle DX.
So I can't download about 1/3 of my books.
But it's stated in each book's description and obviously isn't Amazon's "fault".
Still annoying though...
